Pointe Shoe Fitting Policy

To ensure dancer safety and long-term health, we require the following before conducting a pointe shoe fitting:

Required:

• Minimum age: 11 years old (exceptions require written teacher approval before arrival of fitting, which can be emailed to team@danceworld.ie and shops@danceworld.ie)
• At least 2 - 3 years of consistent ballet training
• Currently enrolled in 2+ ballet classes per week
• Direct recommendation from ballet instructor

We Will Not Fit Pointe Shoes If:

• The dancer is under 10 years old
• The teacher has not approved pointe
• There is visible instability in demi-pointe
• There are current pain complaints or injuries

Our priority is dancer safety. Early pointe work without sufficient strength may result in long-term injury.
