Gisella Mesh Rehearsal Skirt - High-Low Hem & Ribbon Ruching
Gisella Mesh Rehearsal Skirt - High-Low Hem & Ribbon Ruching
Available in stock
Bodile women's sizing uses overlapping size ranges from XXS/XS through L/XL. For the most reliable fit, compare your bust, waist, hip and torso-length measurements rather than converting directly from everyday clothing size. For leotards, torso length is particularly useful when deciding between two overlapping sizes.
Bodile Ladies Dancewear Size Chart
Compare bust, waist, hips and torso length to find your best starting size. Bodile sizes intentionally overlap, so more than one size may suit some body measurements.

Bodile's size ranges intentionally overlap. If your bust, waist or hips comfortably fit two sizes, use torso length as an important deciding measurement for leotards. A longer torso may feel more comfortable in the larger overlapping size, while a shorter torso may suit the smaller option.
How to Measure for Bodile Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting dancewear using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.

Torso Length
Key Leotard MeasurementFollow Bodile's measuring diagram and measure the length of the torso vertically down the body. Keep the tape straight and close to the body without pulling it tight.
Bodile calls this measurement Torso Length. It should not be substituted with the full shoulder-through-crotch girth loop commonly used by some other dancewear brands.
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape straight and level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not included in Bodile's women's size table, but it can be useful when considering overall body proportions alongside torso length.
Bodile women's sizes are intentionally grouped into overlapping ranges: XXS/XS, XS/S, S/M, M/L and L/XL. This gives dancers flexibility when choosing their preferred fit. Use all four published body measurements together, with torso length particularly useful for fitted leotards. Where two sizes overlap, consider both body length and how close you prefer your dancewear to feel.
Our first BODILE collection is available to pre-order. Orders begin shipping from 6 November 2026.

Description
Bring a softer line to your ballet outfit with the Bodile Gisella mesh rehearsal skirt. Its flowing half-circle shape falls into a high-low hem, while ribbon ruching lets you personalise the gathered drape. A rollable waistband adds another styling choice for class and rehearsal. Gisella runs slightly small, so compare your waist and hip measurements with the Bodile size chart.
Best For: Ballet class • Rehearsals • Coaching sessions • Flowing mesh layers • Adjustable gathered styling
Why Dancers Love the Bodile Gisella Skirt
- A flowing rehearsal shape: The half-circle cut creates a soft sweep around the legs, with a longer back hem following your movement.
- Ribbon ruching to personalise: Keep the gathers relaxed for a gentle drape or draw them higher for a more defined lift at the hip.
- Featherweight layering: Fine, sheer mesh adds movement while keeping your leotard’s colour and silhouette visible underneath.
- A choice of proportions: The rollable waistband lets you experiment with styling at the waist or lower on the hips.
Bodile Gisella SUPRABLIME® Mesh & Half-Circle Design
Gisella uses Italian SUPRABLIME® stretch mesh - 80% nylon and 20% elastane. Soft and flexible, the fabric skims the waist and hips before falling into a fluid hem. A free-cut edge gives the high-low shape a smooth finish, with signature gold branding adding a small detail.
Ribbons threaded through ruching channels gather the mesh to change how it falls. These ribbons shape the drape rather than adjust the waistband. The finished length depends on your chosen size, waistband position and amount of gathering.
This Australian-designed skirt is sheer throughout and intended to layer over a leotard. A similar shade underneath creates a soft tonal outfit, while a contrasting colour remains visible through the mesh for a more defined combination.
Bodile Gisella Sizing Advice & Rehearsal Styling
Gisella runs slightly small. Check both your waist and hip measurements against the Bodile size chart. The brand recommends sizing up if you prefer to wear the skirt lower on your hips. Try your preferred waistband position before adjusting the ribbon gathers.
Pair Gisella with a Bodile Ophelia or Bella leotard to add flowing mesh beneath a detailed bodice. Choose complementary shades from the current range or let a contrasting leotard become part of the layered look.
For a different silhouette, Mika offers a slimmer ruched mesh shape, while Julieta brings the greater sweep of a full-circle rehearsal skirt.
Dance World Tip: Set the waistband first, then adjust each ribbon gradually. Try a few travelling steps to check how the gathered fabric and longer back hem move before beginning rehearsal.
