Bodile's size ranges intentionally overlap. If your bust, waist or hips comfortably fit two sizes, use torso length as an important deciding measurement for leotards. A longer torso may feel more comfortable in the larger overlapping size, while a shorter torso may suit the smaller option.
How to Measure for Bodile Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting dancewear using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.
Torso Length
Key Leotard MeasurementFollow Bodile's measuring diagram and measure the length of the torso vertically down the body. Keep the tape straight and close to the body without pulling it tight.
Bodile calls this measurement Torso Length. It should not be substituted with the full shoulder-through-crotch girth loop commonly used by some other dancewear brands.
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape straight and level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not included in Bodile's women's size table, but it can be useful when considering overall body proportions alongside torso length.

Soft LEOPREME® Fabric & Underbust Support
The main body uses LEOPREME® - 80% nylon and 20% Lycra. Its soft-touch, demi-matte finish gives Prussian Blue a deep navy appearance. Four-way stretch and shape retention provide a flexible, close fit, with pilling resistance and moisture-wicking properties adding practical fabric performance.
Black BODILE elastic frames the shoulders and large back opening. A gold metal clasp fastens at the nape, with a small gold emblem below the opening. Breathable mesh sleeves introduce transparency beside the smooth front and lower body.
The body is unlined for a lightweight feel; the separate underbust support panel has self-fabric lining and elastic. A classic ballet leg and 100% cotton gusset complete this Australian-designed leotard.
Fit & Styling Your Saskia Ballet Leotard
Saskia runs true to size, with fitted three-quarter sleeves and a close ballet fit. Lift the main body into position before settling the sleeves and fastening the neck clasp. Check shoulder comfort through your usual arm movements, avoiding unnecessary pulling on the mesh.
Pair Prussian Blue with the Bodile Julieta skirt for a longer, full-circle rehearsal silhouette. For class, tights alone keep the square neckline and open back in focus. Cream, grey or navy warm-ups complement the deep blue palette.
