How to Measure for Bodile Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting dancewear using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.
Torso Length
Key Leotard MeasurementFollow Bodile's measuring diagram and measure the length of the torso vertically down the body. Keep the tape straight and close to the body without pulling it tight.
Bodile calls this measurement Torso Length. It should not be substituted with the full shoulder-through-crotch girth loop commonly used by some other dancewear brands.
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape straight and level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not included in Bodile's women's size table, but it can be useful when considering overall body proportions alongside torso length.

The main body uses Italian-made ECOSCULPT®, containing 78% ECONYL® regenerated nylon and 22% Lycra. Its supportive compression, pilling resistance and moisture-management properties suit regular studio wear, with a firmer sense of hold through the torso.
Velvet panels follow curved lines from the square neckline towards a tapered lower point. Their sheen creates brighter blue highlights against the smooth, navy-toned body. Featherlight mesh sleeves soften the upper silhouette, while dark trim and small gold branding finish the design.
A classic ballet leg line and 100% cotton gusset complete the construction. Coverage varies across the garment: the main body and velvet front provide coverage, while the sleeves are sheer and the back is deliberately open.
Fit & Styling Your Valentina Prussian Blue Leotard
Valentina runs true to size, with a close ballet fit and full-length sleeves. Guide the main body into position before settling the sleeves and fastening the neck clasp, taking care not to pull on the delicate mesh.
Choose the Mika skirt for a slim mesh silhouette with a split and adjustable ruching, or Julieta for longer, full-circle rehearsal movement. The short Zara velvet skirt echoes the front panelling for a coordinated texture. Leotards and skirts are sold separately.
