The supportive stretch-canvas upper adapts closely around the forefoot, allowing the toes and metatarsals to move naturally while reducing loose material and unnecessary bulk.

Inside, a soft stretch lining creates a comfortable layer against the skin. A microfibre sockliner adds internal grip, helping the foot remain connected to the shoe instead of sliding independently inside it.

A suede leather forefoot outsole protects the toes and ball of the foot from repeated friction while providing the working surface for turns. Traditional ballet-shoe-style pleating allows the material to shape around the forefoot and flex through pointing, relevé and directional movement.

The upgraded fit system combines a silicone-backed underfoot elastic with a BLOCH-branded slingback. Together, they help resist unwanted movement and keep the suede turning surface correctly positioned beneath the foot.

The BLOCH Eclipse II is designed for a snug, secure performance fit. The stretch canvas should contour smoothly around the forefoot without loose fabric, while the suede working surface should remain centred beneath the ball of the foot.

At these transition points, choose according to forefoot width and fit preference: the smaller option gives a closer performance fit, while the larger option offers more room.

BLOCH bases its guidance on a medium-width foot. Dancers with a broader forefoot may prefer the larger adjacent size.

When checking the fit:
• The suede outsole should sit directly beneath the ball of the foot.
• The toes should lie flat rather than curling or gripping.
• The canvas should remain smooth without loose folds.
• The underfoot elastic should sit securely without twisting.

A half sole that feels comfortable while standing but shifts away from the ball of the foot in movement is not correctly positioned.
