For optimal performance and comfort, it's essential that your Bloch Oxford style lace-up tap shoes fit correctly. Here's a guide to help you ensure the perfect fit:

1. Snug but Comfortable: The shoes should fit snugly against your feet without causing discomfort. There should be no excessive movement inside the shoe, as this can affect your control and balance during dance routines.

2. Width: Make sure the width of the shoe fits comfortably. Bloch tap shoes come in various widths to accommodate different foot shapes. Your toes should not feel cramped, and there should be no pinching on the sides.

3. Heel Fit: The heel should fit securely, with minimal slipping. A well-fitted heel provides stability and prevents blisters caused by friction.

4. Toe Space: There should be a small amount of wiggle room for your toes, but not so much that your foot slides forward.

5. Arch Support: Ensure the shoe provides adequate support for your arch. Proper arch support helps in maintaining balance and reducing foot fatigue.

When trying on and testing out our tap shoes we highly recommend trying them on carpet to prevent the taps being scratched in case the shoes need to be returned. Shoes returned with scratched taps will not be accepted.

TRYING TAP SHOES ON:
Wear Dance Socks: When trying on your tap shoes, wear the type of dance socks you plan to use during performances to get an accurate fit.
Break-In Period: Keep in mind that tap shoes may have a short break-in period. Initially, they may feel a bit tight but will gradually adapt to the shape of your foot.

Inspection: Regularly check the taps and screws. Tighten any loose screws to ensure the taps are secure and functioning correctly.
Cleaning: Wipe the leather upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt and sweat. Use a leather cleaner for deeper cleaning.
Drying: Allow the shoes to air dry naturally. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources which can dry out and damage the leather.

Fit: True to size. Regural Fit. We recommend you order your shoe size.

Trying Them On:
Socks or Tights: Wear the type of socks or tights you typically use when dancing to get an accurate sense of fit.
Lace-Up Properly: Make sure to lace up the shoes fully and stand up to check the fit. Walk around and perform a few dance steps to see how they feel in motion.
