Bodile women's sizing uses overlapping size ranges from XXS/XS through L/XL. For the most reliable fit, compare your bust, waist, hip and torso-length measurements rather than converting directly from everyday clothing size. For leotards, torso length is particularly useful when deciding between two overlapping sizes.
Bodile Ladies Dancewear Size Chart
Compare bust, waist, hips and torso length to find your best starting size. Bodile sizes intentionally overlap, so more than one size may suit some body measurements.

Bodile's size ranges intentionally overlap. If your bust, waist or hips comfortably fit two sizes, use torso length as an important deciding measurement for leotards. A longer torso may feel more comfortable in the larger overlapping size, while a shorter torso may suit the smaller option.
How to Measure for Bodile Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting dancewear using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.

Torso Length
Key Leotard MeasurementFollow Bodile's measuring diagram and measure the length of the torso vertically down the body. Keep the tape straight and close to the body without pulling it tight.
Bodile calls this measurement Torso Length. It should not be substituted with the full shoulder-through-crotch girth loop commonly used by some other dancewear brands.
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape straight and level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not included in Bodile's women's size table, but it can be useful when considering overall body proportions alongside torso length.
Bodile women's sizes are intentionally grouped into overlapping ranges: XXS/XS, XS/S, S/M, M/L and L/XL. This gives dancers flexibility when choosing their preferred fit. Use all four published body measurements together, with torso length particularly useful for fitted leotards. Where two sizes overlap, consider both body length and how close you prefer your dancewear to feel.
Our first BODILE collection is available to pre-order. Orders begin shipping from 6 November 2026.

Description
Bring a little leopard to the barre with the Bodile Ophelia Leopard ballet leotard. A patterned velvet bodice meets a smooth Obsidian body, with a pinched neckline and black waist ribbon defining the silhouette. Adjustable camisole straps refine the upper fit, while the super-soft, unlined LEOPREME® body keeps the feel lightweight for class and rehearsal.
Best For: Ballet class • Rehearsals • Adjustable camisole styling • Dancers who enjoy neutral animal print and a lightweight body
Why Dancers Love the Bodile Ophelia Leopard Leotard
- A patterned velvet bodice: Muted leopard markings bring texture to the front and upper back, pairing easily with black and neutral layers.
- Adjustable shoulder fit: Fine camisole straps let you personalise the shoulder length and neckline position.
- Lightweight comfort: The super-soft, unlined body avoids an additional lining layer, with a cotton gusset completing the construction.
- A clearly defined waist: Black ribbon separates the velvet bodice from the smooth lower body and provides a natural point for styling a skirt.
Leopard Velvet & Soft Obsidian LEOPREME® Fabric
The leopard-print velvet bodice combines dark markings with a muted taupe-grey ground. A centre-front gather creates the pinched bust line, with sheer black mesh tracing the neckline above it. Plain black straps and a gently curved back frame the patterned upper section.
The Obsidian main body uses Italian-made LEOPREME®, containing 80% nylon and 20% Lycra. Its breathable stretch and shape retention provide supportive hold through the torso, while the sleeveless cut leaves the shoulders free for port de bras. A classic ballet leg keeps the lower silhouette simple beneath the print.
The body is unlined, with a 100% cotton gusset. Coverage is excellent through the smooth Obsidian body; the mesh neckline trim remains intentionally sheer.
Fit & Styling Your Ophelia Leopard Leotard
Ophelia runs true to size, with a close camisole fit. Settle the leotard comfortably through the torso before adjusting the straps, then check the neckline position as you move your arms.
Pair it with the Bodile Gisella rehearsal skirt for flowing mesh beneath the velvet bodice. Black and grey warm-ups echo the print’s neutral tones, while ballet pink tights bring a classical finish. For a floral alternative in the same silhouette, explore Ophelia Black Dahlia.
Dance World Tip: Position your skirt waistband alongside the black waist ribbon to keep the leopard bodice visible. Leotard and skirt are sold separately.
