Bodile's size ranges intentionally overlap. If your bust, waist or hips comfortably fit two sizes, use torso length as an important deciding measurement for leotards. A longer torso may feel more comfortable in the larger overlapping size, while a shorter torso may suit the smaller option.
How to Measure for Bodile Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting dancewear using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.
Torso Length
Key Leotard MeasurementFollow Bodile's measuring diagram and measure the length of the torso vertically down the body. Keep the tape straight and close to the body without pulling it tight.
Bodile calls this measurement Torso Length. It should not be substituted with the full shoulder-through-crotch girth loop commonly used by some other dancewear brands.
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape straight and level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not included in Bodile's women's size table, but it can be useful when considering overall body proportions alongside torso length.

A SUPRABLIME® mesh overlay shapes the front, with corset-style panel lines finishing at a softly pointed lower edge. Deeper berry mesh layers over the blush pink base, bringing depth to the bodice. Sheer mesh continues beneath the deep scoop back opening, finished with a small gold emblem.
The main body uses LEOPREME® — 80% nylon and 20% Lycra. Its soft-touch, demi-matte surface combines supportive stretch with shape retention, pilling resistance and moisture-wicking properties for regular studio wear.
The main body is unlined, with self-fabric lining in the separate underbust support panel. Mesh at the neckline and back remains intentionally sheer. A classic ballet leg line and 100% cotton gusset complete this Australian-designed style from Bodile’s Signature collection.
Sofia Tank Sizing Advice & Styling with Mika
This tank design runs short through the body. Bodile recommends sizing up for a longer torso. Compare your measurements with the size chart, then raise both arms during fitting to check that the fixed shoulder straps and neckline sit comfortably without pulling.
Add the Bodile Mika mesh skirt in a complementary shade for a coordinated rose outfit. Its high-low silhouette, adjustable ruching and side split introduce movement beneath the fitted bodice. Black separates give the pink tones more contrast, while a cream wrap creates a softer finish between sessions.
Dance World Tip: Settle the leotard into place using the main body rather than pulling on the mesh shoulders. Check the fit through your usual arm movements before adding your skirt. Skirts and warm-up layers are sold separately.
